About Scoops Ice Cream & Grille

Scoop’s was built in the late 90′s and has passed through many owners over the years. Previous owners tried many different ideas including roasted chicken, pizza, subs and even a car hop.  As the new owner, I want to get back to basics.

Our goal is to provide a family friendly atmosphere with quality food for all to enjoy.  In addition to ice cream Scoop’s now offers a range of burgers, chicken, salads, appetizers, and wraps to accommodate any appetite along with a few signature treats. Come try one of our signature items include Pork BBQ, The Pittsburgh, and the Mountville Meltdown!

About the Owner  – Jason Risner

Jason Risner is the new owner and operator of Scoop’s Ice Cream and Grille. He is 24 years old and is a true “Hometown guy”. A former student at Mountville Elementary and Hempfield High School, Jason and his family were actively involved in the Mountville Youth Athletic Association (MYAA). Jason began his career in the restaurant industry at Scoop’s when he was 15.   He was faithful to the company for 5 years, learning the basics of food preparation, customer service, and business management.

To further develop his skills Jason began working at the the Hamilton Club in Lancaster, PA.  Over the course of 5 years working at the club Jason grew his skills and experience while also earning two Bachelor’s Degrees, in Business Management and Economics, at Millersville University.

Having returned to his roots Jason has come full circle and become the new owner of Scoop’s Ice Cream and Grille.  He is proud of the hard work and dedication that brought him to this place and hopes you will come by and experience everything he has learned.
