Caring for People

In 2005 Shortly after Hurricane Katrina devastated the gulf coast Jason Risner and Scoop’s Ice Cream organized a donation drive.  In a short time they were able to fill a box truck with food and supplies which they delivered personally to victims of the hurricane.  Jason, Scoop’s new owner, has returned to New Orleans several times to assist in the rebuilding process.

Caring for the Planet

Scoop’s Ice Cream and grille is doing their part to be environmentally conscious. Our waste products are recycled and handled with the utmost care and respect for the environment. Scoops is part of the Planet Fry Program. The waste cooking oil at this facility is recycled for use as an alternative fuel. This reduces dependence on foreign oil and harmful air pollution caused by using fossil fuels.  Scoop’s is making every effort to buy local products to help reduce our environmental footprint and support local businesses in Lancaster, PA.
